Anyone else having issues with their Saitek X52 controls and Windows 10?
Kinda regretting the update.. I got the controller to work and not BSOD on me, but now buttoms randomly press that I did not press. This is seriously annoying as I was cleared for takeoff, was almost at v1 and then "LOL ENGINE CUTOFF".

Seriously annoying. Not to mention the fact that randomly I'll find that it's switched views on me. I feel like the game is now constantly trolling me....

Hi did you upgrade to W10 ? If yes did you try to run the X52 software in compatibility mode for W7 or W8 ? Even you could try to run FSX in compatibility mode if any...

I didn't try running it in compatibility mode. Didn't know you could do that with drivers. I wasn't trying to use the flight control system, just the controllers themselves. I'm going to uninstall the drivers completely (as well as the flight control system) and reinstall and see if that helps. Googled it and only one other person came up with problems but his were a bit different then mine (the controller going haywire even outside of the game. Mine registers fine in the game controller settings and all buttons seem to work normally there). But I'll reinstall drivers under Win7 compatibility mode.

If it's the familiar problem of the X52's incompatibility with USB3, you may need to disable xHCI in BIOS until the drivers are fixed again. Windows 7 had driver problems that were fixed in Windows 8. Who knows with Windows 10. Anybody's guess this soon after release.

Hi Trapper I'm just interested by the USB3 incompatibility. What is the "xHCI" in BIOS and where can I find this feature in BIOS ? As I own a x52 and each time I plug it on a USB3 connector the throttle panel doesn't show anything. Althought when plugged in a USB2 all is working fine. As I haven't enough free USB2 for my x52 I wonder to plug it on some USB3 free on my powered HUB USB3 and expect the x52 will work without issue. Thx in advance.

PS: I just saw in my BIOS a named feature "USB EHCI Hand Off = DISABLED" I think this is this feature related to what your are talking ?!

You should be able to find something more specific to disable xHCI. Look for that first.

Failing that, I'm guessing there should be both USB eHCI Hand Off and USB xHCI Hand Off entries in BIOS. From what I've read, to get the x52 working, xHCI Hand Off should be disabled and eHCI Hand Off should be enabled. Doing this will probably disable USB 3 on your system.

I don't have Windows 10, so I can't be certain about these settings fixing the problem.

Thank's for your response but my MB is old Asus P6TDeluxe and for USB feature have only one line related to USB EHCI no for xHCI. By default this feature (USB EHCI) is enabled but sometime ago had disabled it for some reason probabily to refer at trouble I got with some USB hardware like the same issue with the USB3 compatibility. My mobo has only USB2 embedded.

Anyway thx to have pointed about such feature. I will try with it enabled and the X52 controler to see if that's one solution. And yes I'm with W10 since a short time (few days ago).

PS : solved for me X52 (latest Madcatz/Saitek drivers and software) works well plugged in a USB3 powered HUB and BIOS setting USB EHCI Hand Off enabled (W10 Pro upgraded from W7 64 Pro)
