Where did the person that gave it to you get it from? It should have a key or a CD to unlock it?

Does your computer have a DVD drive or a CD drive? The CD verification routine isn't just "reading" the CD with normal read commands. It makes specific hardware calls that read raw data. CFS3 is pretty old, it was released before DVD drives were common.

If you have an older computer somewhere, steal the CD drive out of it and put it in your current computer. I think Microcenter sells them for about $5.

Yes I do have a cd drive and no this was not any help because I am not about to take apart computers for this cause. If there is a stright fowrad way of fixing this without dismantling the computer I would be more than happy to do it.
