ships in flight simulator X
Hello all,

I understand it is a flight simulation, but i saw it is also possible to sail on ships.

I would like to sail (i am thinking about buying ship simulator extreme) but if i can find my hapyness with flight simulator x, perhaps no need to buy ship simulator extreme

So i have several questions about it for those who already sailed :-)

1/ Is the physics are good for the ships ? Can you sail in a storm for instance, and your ship is really impacted with the winds ?

2/ is it possible to create missions for ships like it already exists for planes ? (for instance a rescue mission using a ship instead of a plane or helicopter) ?

3/ is it possible to cross the atlantic from a port in France for instance to the USA (for instance, ship extreme simulator has sorts of regions zone, and you can't do it)

4/ Is it possible to make a sail race agasint AI sailing ships ? and AI sailing ships could be parameterable ?

5/ and last one :-) can you transport mechandise (load merchandises from a port) and unload them in another port ?

I underand it is not a ship simulator and perhaps my questions are possibly stupids.

Thanks !

1, 2 and 3 - yes... 4, not sure - you CAN set routes for AI ship - I know that much... 5 depends on your imagination!

Yup you can add Sipping AI to FSX with real world shipping routes and you can also pilot ships. I have added the AI and its pretty cool. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Henrik+Nielsen&x=0&y=0

The veiw is always better going over a mountain then it is going around it I think. You'll just have to do whatever floats your.........( I know, that was really bad) lol.
