CD Key Support?
Hi. I recently "upgraded" to Windows 10 (still to be judged) and I tried putting my old 2006 FSX up on my new computer. I found that since Windows 8, FSX was not compatible. Then I found this. I tried using my old CD Key to see if I could get it on Windows 10 (because appearently, whatever you guys did to the code makes it work, unlike my CD) and it failed to register. Please let me know if you guys can even add the old Product Keys to register and if so, please let me know. Thanks!

Nope, you cant transfer to steam without buying the steam ed, if you have the boxed Microsoft ed then you can still use it but not in steam

ed = edition.

To use the Steam version you have to buy it; the old boxed version does not work on Steam.

There's actually ways to get the boxed(I.E original) edition you own working on both W8 and W10.
Unfortunately, it involves some "legally ambiguous" measures and as such talking about it here and on most forums is generally frowned upon. That's why I am not giving details, sorry.
But Google is your friend ;)

Alternatively, you can simply buy the Steam edition and that will work fine along with most add-ons you may own. If you are pissed at the idea of re-buying something you own, think of it as a thank you to Dovetail for resurrecting this jewel :)

ill probably end up buying the steam ed. It represents the Gold version, a $40+ purchase, for $25. So yeah, thanks Dovetail!
