Beeping, freezing mouse
I've never had this problem on other versions of FSX but since I have recently changed over to Windows 10, from Windows 7, I tend to blame the OS for this and not the Steam version of Fsx.

What happens is that occasionally and seemingly at random, although probably more with PMDG products (video intensive?) the mouse cursor totally vanishes and pressing or moving the mouse produces a long series of beeps. I close FSX using the keyboard but the problem remains until I reboot the computer.
I should mention that I play FSX in Nvidia Surround on three monitors.

I have had mouse problems outside of Fsx since Windows 10 even though I think I have the correct drivers. I have also uninstalled all USB hubs from Device Manager and they were reinstalled after a bootup. This did not fix the mouse beeping problem which seems to occur only in Fsx.
I welcome any suggestions. Thanks

Did your desktop freeze as well so you were unable to do anything without doing a forced shutdown? For me this would happen when my Saitek gear was connected. Moving the control surfaces or disconnecting them while the computer was on would cause this problem something accompanied with beeping when moving the cursor. I still have no clue how to fix it and it annoys the crap out of me. :/

Sorry, I hadn't seen these comments since today. In a way, I am glad it isn't just my issue. It happened today as well with the A2A Cessna 182 . Normally just with PMDG. I also have Saitek gear..actually a Cessna Yoke, Pedals and Throttle quadrant & Trim. I am not sure how compatible these are with Windows 10. I haven't updated the drivers because I doubt I could find new ones but I haven't had the slightest problem with them in Windows 10 and Steam Fsx.

As to JonasBecsan's question. No... desktop did not freeze but the mouse was totally useless. I tried a wireless mouse as well as a wired one. Different usb slots. Problem comes up not frequently by enough to be real annoying especially when you are connected with Vatsim and talking to an ATC and can no longer control hardly anything without a mouse.
Mouse is totally unresponsive even when I shut down FSX through the keyboard and then need to reboot.
This, so far has only happened in FSX SE and not in any other program or game so far.

I do not plug or unplug my Saitek panels. I mean I leave mine plugged in all the time.
If anyone else has this issue or can offer some advice, it would be very welcome. I would like to know if this happens on Vindows 7 with Fsx Steam. I never had this issue before until I changed over to Windows 10 but I used to have a boxed edition of Fsx on Windows 7 before.

SOLVED (I THINK)

Unplug your Saitek TRIM control and this problem is history or so according to various other solutions I managed to unearth. I have tried it and so far no problems. Some also suggested to replug your Trim USB after you reboot but so far I haven't tried that. I left it off and this problem has not reappeared since. There is a very STRONG probablilty that this is in fact the problem to the dysfunctional beeping mouse because as soon as I unplugged my Saitek Trim usb controller, (outside of FSX) the problem occured, until I rebooted.

It is confirmed by Saitek that their products cause these problems because of the lack of Windows 10 drivers. They are pretty slow releasing the beta drivers as well. I found a temporary solution by uninstalling the saitek drivers (Built in windows drivers work just as well.) My desktop still freezes if I unplugg the controller while the computer is on, but at least the controllers are functional in game.

se usate team speak 3 mentre volate, provate a chiudere prima TS e dopo FSX a ne ha funzionato e non ho avuto nessun problema ciao

This issus is so annoying, had it happen multiple times with my Saitek yoke. The rudder panels work fine, so do my switch and radio panels. The Yoke will either not connect to the PC correctly, Fault USB cable? correctly or cause this issus as soon as its unpluged.

This problem, in my case especially was definitely caused by my Saitek Trim control. My yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals remain plugged but I have had to put away my trim control. No more problems.

Just an update to this.....

Maybe because of a recent Windows 10 update, I have had unpredictable BSODs "Exception error.." while using Saitek Cessna Yoke (even without the Trim).. always in FSX-Se and nowhere else. I am not using Saitek Drivers. I did at one time but the Yoke elevator functions were grossly exaggerated evn with tweaking the sensitivies that I had to discard these drivers which actually were not really for the Saitek Cessna Yoke but for the Pro Flight.

My choice now is either discarding my very expensive Yoke, quadrant and rudder for a joystick or putting everything on windows 7 where I never had a problem before with the equipment.
