Flight planner with SIDS and STARS?
I usually dont use a flight planner and rather just put my destination in the FMC. When selecting deparure and arrival there are a lot of STARS and SIDS and I usually choose a random one, is there a flight planner that shows them?

You can look up the airport's charts online and see the available SIDs and STARs. If you look at purchasing PFPX, I think that shows SIDs and STARs. Not sure though.
I use the 30 min Trial (which can always be restarted) from FS Commander to show me the SID/STARs. You have to create a temporary flight plan with the origin (to show SID) and destination (to show STAR), but a direct one is enough and is a matter of 5 seconds.

Can you provide me with a link? I can't seem to find the demo on the official site.
My personal favorite amoung these is Aivlasoft's EFB. It makes use of either Aerosoft's NavDataPro or Navigraph's FMS data. I love it for the enhanced moving map and IVAO/VATSIM functionality.

Wow that actually looks pretty nice. If it really creates PDF-like charts using the NavDataPro data I might look into getting that one.
Or use SimBreif. Completely free and completely amazing. Can download flight plans in any format and also flight plans specifically for almost every addon aircraft.
Aivlasoft EFB is awesome and of good help in flights, but does not generate flightplan by itself. SimBrief is also awesome, but -as far as I know- relies on external route finder or a source like FlightAware, beyond stock flight plans. PFPX does good in generating flightplan and routefinding but is not an EFB - Does not give you Navigraph or NavDataPro-derived approach plates, albeit those type of stuff are easily available elsewhere, just search for them.

For route generation itself, RouteFinder worked well, produces route with SID endpoints and STAR startpoints, and is free. The difficult part is actually finding a SID or STAR to match, though there usually is one, and easier when coupled with things that give you a SID/STAR overview like actual charts, or Aivlasoft EFB.
I just tried EFB and it indeed is neat. There is one thing I'm confused thou. I just tested it with airports where FS uses a different (old) ICAO than NavDataPro (new). For example Doha uses OTBD in FSX and OTHH in the NavDataPro. I installed the newest AIRAC cycle for the EFB and the EFB doesn't find OTHH.... it actually uses OTBD for the new airport as the AFCAD I have for the actually OTHH airport uses OTBD.
Here is the real problem: Since the NavDataPro uses OTHH for all the information like SID/STAR, etc... they don't show.

PS: For En-Route planning I use Skyvector www.skyvector.com , which I think is great for showing airways. I first create a direct between origin and destination and then use it as a guide-line, you can than just drag the 'route-line' onto waypoints it will then snap and give you options, which waypoint you want to add. When done it will show you the Route, which you can then copy into e.g. the Aerosoft Company Route Planner.
