Best Payware Sites?
Which sites are recommended for buying FSX payware addons? I found a couple like A2A Simulations and Coranado and SimShack but I'm wondering how many other addons out there I may not know about because I only recently started getting interested in payware addons.

Also right now, I'm searching for the perfect aircraft to do an all around the world tour but so far I haven't found many that interest me very much. I was looking for something versatile like an HD version of the Grummen Goose for example.

I appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Some of the ones I've used have folded in recent years so it's hard to recommend any favorites without researching first.

ORBX[orbxdirect.com] is good for scenery, and they've branched out as a vendor for other developers including A2A Simulations and MilViz.

JustFlight[www.justflight.com] is a major vendor, and I think they've partnered with developer Aeroplane Heaven for exclusives.

Flight 1[www.flight1.com] is another longtime vendor. They notoriously had an anti-piracy locked wrapper system for downloads that was annoying to deal with, and may still be using it. I haven't done any business with them in several years.

SimMarket also seems to be going strong. Here's a direct link to their FSX Steam aircraft: https://secure.simmarket.com/fsx-steam-aircraft-page-1.chtml

Aerosoft -- I've never purchased from them. Their FSX aircraft are listed here: https://www.aerosoft.com/us/flight-simulation/flight-simulator-x/aircraft/?p=1

FSPS Store[www.fspsstore.com] doesn't have much for FSX but I'll add it to the list anyhow.

Thank you so much shadowgravy! Many of these I never heard of before. There's enough sites here to keep me busy for quite a while. I went many years without ever buying a single addon but I think it's time to make FSX more interesting.

OMG I've been searching these sites for an hour now and I already found loads of things I want to buy. Thanks again for the information, my bank account is going to be bone dry by the time I'm done :)

If you're serious about your worldwide tour, consider this little app:
https://secure.simmarket.com/lorby-si-where-are-my-aircraft-wama_fsx-p3d.phtml

It keeps track of where you parked your aircraft (by livery/ registration number) and it records your flights in a log. And you can use Google maps to see what the real airports look like compared to the FSX airport you are at. You can literally line up every aircraft you own at your favorite airport and then choose which one you want to fly on a particular day.

There is actually a REDUX release for the Goose by the OZx Team and it's free.
Should be available in the majority of flight sim libraries e.g. AVSIM, sim-outhouse etc.
Google is a good resource to finding such items.

Another nice freebee is the Manford Jan C-47, plenty of liveries and a very interactive flight crew (co-pilot even sings a song). Includes at times a quite flirty flight attendant.
Sim-Outhouse's library has it.

The Manfred Jahn/Jan Visser C-47[www.flightsim.com] is really good. Just remember to disable automixture otherwise all of your flights will look like the second photo. ;)

I just found this really great thread with a huge list of great payware if anyone else is looking, some of which was already mentioned here but many others.

I downloaded the C-47 mentioned above and I have to say for freeware, it's really amazing. I'm going to be flying this one a lot. Thanks so much Rogan!

I also found and downloaded the OZx goose and the exterior looks great but it uses the same exact cockpit panels and interior as the original goose. I'm confused, I thought the whole plane was supposed to be HD.

Looks like I downloaded the OZx Turbo Goose modification not the base OZx Goose. I'm having a really hard time finding this plane to download. On AVSIM all I can find are mods and paints for it, not the base model plane. On the one page that looks like the page where the base model is offered, the link takes me to so weird sketchy looking website.

Please, anyone know where I can download the Original OZx Goose Redux HD? I really really want this plane.

This is where I downloaded the version in my pic, there is a link in the thread to LockOnfiles for downloading the OZx Goose.

https://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/118774-FSX-Grumman-Goose-HD-Redux-V1-2-Revisited

I think it is designed to install over the default FSX Goose, it's been a while since I installed it and got it all up and running.

I run P3D so the install process for myself was a little different as the Goose is installed outside of the sim and referenced via an xml file. additionally I've edited the configs to fix errors and add liveries.

Hope it helps.

Cheers R

OMG Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much! The link works! I really appreciate this!

I've seen some other forums where people were looking for this. I'm going to go spread the word.

Edit: This really is an amazing aircraft. I just took it for a spin and the HD textures look absolutely fantastic. I also found while searching the web that someone modded it for FS2020.

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/initial-release-grumman-goose-g21a-redux-ii/338063

I've always wanted to do a trip around the world in a vintage plane but I could never decide which plane to use. Now I'm finally going to do it both in FSX and FS2020 with this Goose.
