You can run it, but honestly, probably not very well.

FSX is a 2006 game, 32 bit, and therefore runs to a average/standard degree on even the best of gaming PCs. There are so many natural limitations FSX has that ruins it. But hey, that's the joy of a 2006 game which is 32bit archtiecture.

If you're determined to get FSX running well, just remember that it's heavily CPU dependent. You'd ideally want at least 4GHz and up.

Run FSX-Se in Minimal mode first
When started go to Options/Settigs/isplay/Graphics and set Global Settings to Minimal
Run once. Then increase the Global settimgs until you reach acceptable performance.
Set Target Frame rate to 30 and NOT to unimited.
Set screen resolution to ypur laptop specs; Uncheck Preview DirectX 10 in Global Options
In Tab Scenery keep Water effects to Low 2.x
Have fun

Just for reference, I have my TFR set to unlimited and I get far superior frame rates to when I limit them. It varies from machine to machine. What works for one, might not work for another.

Target frame rate to unlimited can cause stutters and blurries under some conditions. But yeah, do try and see which fits.

Never experienced anything like that before.

Again, it varies from system to system.

The stutters/blurries problem happens when the scenery loading cannot keep up with an high frame rate. Most likely when slow ram and/or hard drives are coupled with a fast CPU.

The OP might actually suffer from this since from the specs posted, the laptop seems low range and those usually come with slow 5400RPM hard drives. But then again the CPU will limit the FPS a lot, so unlimited might work well. Experimentation is the key.

If you want to run it cinema movie quality then you need 4Ghz I have 1.90 and it runs like a charm.

I have Nividia 1070 tweaked highest setting, 24 gigs of ram, the graphics, especially at distance are not as clear as they should be in my opinion. I bet the game is not selling well due to lack of servers and being able to find one. I have 2.1 GHZ and the results Sucks.
