If the person you are looking at is a long way away it does take a bit of time to render the scenery but once you have them in view you can use your hat switch to rotate around them an move up and down. The + and - keys will zoom you in and out. Great way to view others while they land - so you can give them those "helpful tips".

Eyepoint commands:
Zoom in/out [+] or [-] keys, spacebar & mouse scroll wheel
Tilt down* CTRL + Q
Tilt up* CTRL + SHIFT + Q
Periscope up* SHIFT + ENTER
Periscope down*SHIFT + BACKSPACE
Slide backward* CTRL + ENTER
Slide forward* CTRL + BACKSPACE
Slide left* CTRL + SHIFT + BACKSPACE
Slide right* CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER
Reset* CTRL + SPACEBAR
*In terms of motion-picture camera movements, tilting means aiming the camera up or down without changing its position in space (and panning means aiming the camera left or right without changing its position in space, but FSX does not offer that eyepoint adjustment). Slide left/right means moving the entire camera left or right (not panning). Slide forward/backward here means to get closer to or farther away from the center of the screen. I don't know the proper term for moving the entire camera up and down, so I've used "periscope."
Meow if you are trying to explore an environment/airport, use "Bob" found at the ORBX site. comes in handy if you want to just "roam" around. (Scroll to bottom of page)
