Approach Plates (Charts)
Are there approach plates available that are an FSX addon that could tie into your flight plan?
I realize there are stand alone plates available but was hoping there was an addon.
But either way I do need to get approach plates - so what recommendations does any have?

Google them and print them out
Yea the bst thig would be to use ones you can find on the internet. AirNav and such might have free ones.
I would strongly reccomend using them only for larger, popular, or famous airports, as they got the most detail in the game in terms of accuracy (at leats when they were modeled in 2004-2006)
Other airports can be fairly inaccurate and real life approaches and such may not be possible.

Fligh1 had GTN650/750 addon which included charts for US airports overlaid onto moving map.

Or you can get one of those iPad EFB apps intended for real operations for similar function..both are not cheap, sadly.

For charts themselves you can go looking on skyvector for US charts, and each country's eAIP publication for regions outside US - most of those are free.
Thanks for all the feedback. Yesterday I discovered an app for my Android tablet (also availble for iPad) called 'FltPlan Go' - it is free and is also a service for fiing real flight plans. You can also access for free on their website - www.flightplan.com but I found that the Android app is much more user friendly and they have all the charts availble for free.

I have been using Plan-G lately which ties into FSX for flight planning - it is a fabulous program. It would be totally perfect if you could access approach charts through Plan-G as well.

I was going to recommend the app "FltPlan Go". Good choice, only thing is make sure your tablet is "dedicated" to holding all that data, it fills up fast downloading charts. There's also an .exe file you can download and run so that FltPlan Go connects your FSX to the app for instant tracking.

Also you can generate flight plans from www.simbrief.com which prints out a pretty realistic dispatch and briefings. I know it's not about charts on the topic, but makes planning easier in some instances, amazing what's on the webs these days for sims.

Thanks for your reply. I did try downloading the http://www.fltplan.com/fsx.htm but it will not install, I think it may be that it is not compatable with my Windows 10.
