There is a 55% off Winter Sale right now. That's why I bought mine yesterday. To the OP, try disabling all other add-ons first and try running FSX with Rex running. The latter is how I got my installation to work after a few minutes of blackness.
REX is having sale direct at there website. no need to buy off of steam. When you buy off of steam you can only use on steam. When you buy direct from software site it comes with a good installer that works with FSX, FSX Steam and Prepar3D
Don't think you understood what I said. You can buy direct from software vendor and get the same discount plus have 3 installers that work with FSX, FSX Steam and Prepar3D.
When you buy DLC from steam you can only use it with FSX steam. As for support you need go to the software developer not steam forums. Steam is only a platform to run the game from and has nothing to do with supporting that product.
If you bought both from the Steam store as dlc, let this be your first and final warning for buying anything dlc for FSX from steam store. Pretty much everything in that store is grossly outdated, it also does NOT have any support from it's developer. Once you've bought the dlc, your on your own, and you will see no updates period. 2 examples of this are Rex Direct 4 and Rex soft clouds. (which are actually the same package when you buy it direct from REX plus you get full support!) and Active Sky Next. Neither of these products have received updates in a very long time.
Hopefully you have learned your expensive lesson...NEVER BUY FSX DLC FROM THE STORE. The only benefactor is Dovetail and no one else. There are plenty of broken aircraft on the store too! and you wont get a refund period,
you get no support for the steam dlc, true fact.
