Try resetting the steam key in steam overlay settings to something else F12 is used in FSX. I use shift F11 since it is not used in FSX

By default FSX:SE's screenshot is Shift+F12 due to Steam's default screenshot which is F12 - you could redefine the keys as you wish.

I have the same problem with f12 not taking screenshots anymore. It all started when I ran my ORBX Config file for Friday Harbor Airport. I don't know how to (reset overlay settings to another key, or just try using f12 again). HELP! PLEASE!

Firstly make sure that the Steam Overlay is enabled within the Steam client:

While in the Steam client click on “Steam” (top left hand corner).
From the resulting menu click on “Settings”.
On the left hand side of the displayed dialogue box click on “In-Game”.
Make sure “Enable Steam Overlay while in-game” is checked and make sure that you know what the “Screenshot shortcut key” is (F12 by default).

Secondly make sure that the overlay is active for FSX:

From the Steam client select your library view.
Right click on the “Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition” entry in your game list and select “Properties”.
On the “General” tab of the resulting dialogue box make sure “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game” is checked.

If your screenshots don’t work after that you may have to raise a ticket with Steam support.

Thanks Kabacus! I've already tried those things since I last posted though. I've also raised a ticket with Steam Support. Nothing works. Although maybe I'll try assigning the Screenshot Function to a different key. Thanks for all of your help! :)

No reply from Steam Support. I've just purchased: liteCam Game. It captures screenshots and makes videos in-game! It cost $15 though.

Hey Kabacus! You're a knowledgeable person... Do you think if I asked another Flight Simulator X:SE question, that you might be able to answer me? I just sent Support and have a ticket for this problem, that just occurred yesterday. I'll paste it here, if you'll help me?

Where does Steam file/save all the DLC Scenery and Saved Flightplans in FSX:SE? Upon trying to Load it and choose DLC Flights/Saved Flightplans, the Default Configuration file was used instead of all my installed DLC Scenery that I've bought, plus all my Saved Flightplans I Created and Saved In-Game! I mean, when I now save a flightplan, I had to start with a clean folder of Config Scenery to Save it to! Where are my ORIGINAL DLC/Saved Flight plans kept?
Kabacus 2016년 9월 8일 오전 9시 32분
Steam FSX DLC is usually stored (by default) in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\FSX\DLC", for each DLC there will be a folder with the Steam ID as the folder name. I don't know if that is true for scenery files as I don't own any Steam scenery DLC.

If the default flight plans aren't in those folders (for Steam DLC) I would expect them to possibly be located in "This PC\Documents\Flight Simulator x Files"

For non-Steam DLC I have some that are located in a folder in the FSX location, eg my Qualitywings 757 DLC plans are located by default when created in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\FSX\Qualitywings\FlightPlans"

You can see from my ramblings they could be scattered to the four corners of your hard drive. It may be better posting a question specific to the DLC in the Steam-add-ons forum :)

OK, Kabacus! Thanks for your help! I'll look in those files, but I still don't know how to get Steam to Default back to it? I guess, I'll go In-Game and create the path/folder that you speak of, for it to Load from my ORIGINAL Config DLC Scenery/Flightplans.

No such luck. The in-game flight plans look a lot different than the numbered DLC files in those directories. I don't dare save them there. Right now, I have them in a self-created folder, and it's working, but it's bare. I mean, I just started filling it with saved flight plans. And it still does not contain the Add-On Scenery DLC that Steam shows me owning/installed! I even re-installed it, and cannot find it in the "LOAD", in-game, DLC. (All that shows-up is "Around The World (ATW) in 80 days" and "Europe")! I've tried re-installing, but to no-avail.

Where does Steam hide the DLC Scenery? Where does Steam file the flight plans when I SAVE them in-game? (The ORIGINAL files, not the DEFAULT, OLD files...)

You could try searching for *.pln using Windows explorer.

Edit (due to your edit): When you save in game the default location is usually in a folder called "Flight Simulator X Files" which is located in your documents folder (which differs depending on which version of Windows you are running)

This PC\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\
C:\Users\[YourID]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\
My Documents\Flight Simulator X FIles\

DLC's are located in the FSX folder a.k.a c:program files (x86)/steam/steam apps/common/FSX/dlc The flight plans are located as Kabacus has posted I would also suggest making a short cut on the desktop for the FSX folder this will make it easier to locate in the future

I know. That was swept clean, and I had to start saving my Flight Plans there again. I have 3 Flight Plans now; when I used to have numerous.

As far as DLC files are concerned, I know where they reside in the folders, but they aren't being accessed by Steam, In-Game when I try to view/LOAD them. I mean, when I click LOAD for Scenery/Flight Plans associated with DLC and my previously SAVEd Flight Plans (with my typed-in descriptions, etc.) they also have been wiped clean. Except, for the DEFAULT "Around The World (ATW) In 80 Days", and "Europe (EUR)" Flight Plans/DLC.

I have tried re-installing the DLC Scenery files again, (which Steam looked like they successfully installed all-over-again), but they still didn't update/install "In-Game" as previously mentioned above. They aren't there when I click LOAD for DLC Flight Plans.
