Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

FSX Keyboard Command
The original Microsoft FS Eyepoint commands were SHIFT+Enter to move up and SHIFT+Backspace to move down. Later versions of FS changed these commands to CTRL+SHIFT+Q for move up and CTRL+Q for move down. Neither of these command pairs seem to work with FSX:Steam Addition. Does anyone know what the keyboard commands are used to move the Eyepoint up/down?
Thank you.

What is assigned to it? ..... settings - controls - button/keys - and then scroll down to eyepoint to see if you have a button assigned to the command.

Shift and enter and shift and backspace are what is assigned in mine and work fine. Although these views are mapped to my joystick buttons for landing. If not doing that it would be much better just assigning these to single unused keys.

Hello stemak,
Sorry for delay in reply. PC crashed with a hard disk failure. Had to rebuild from scratch after replacing disk drive.
I have checked my settings -> controls -> button/keys and the eyepoint up and down are mapped to Shift+Enter and Shift+Backspace. However; these commands only work when looking out either the left hand or right hand windows. The commands have no effect when looking out the front window.
Anyone else report this problem?

The commands work for me when I am looking out of the front view. Do you use the virtual cockpit view and NOT the 2-D cockpit view?
BFG Bullpup,
Reported my 2D eyepoint problem as a fault to DoveTail Games via their support page. They inform me that the eyepoint commands Shift+Enter and Shift+Backspace have only worked with the 3D cockpit. I replied that this was not true as I have always used the 2D cockpit since FS was first released. In later FS releases Ctrl+Shift+Q and Ctrl+Q were used. However; none of these commands work with FS:Steam Edition. Have asked DoveTail to do some further investigation as to what THEY changed that rermoved the 2D eyepoint commands from the forward view, but judging by their last offhanded comment I won't be holding my breath. I am not too imporessed with the 3D cockpit but may have to changeover to it. However; DoveTail Games need to be more responsive and understanding to their customers.
Not happy.
Have you ever used boxed FSX (not the Steam Edition)? Did the eyepoint work in 2D view? If no, then keep in mind that DTG is only supposed to optimize the Steam game and not make major changes. So the fault may be with Microsoft that originally removed the eyepoint in 2D cockpit feature for FSX when it was in previous releases of FS.
I have to say I can't remember that feature in 2d cockpit view. My memory might be wrong as I'm rarely in 2d view. I seem to remember pulling the panels down instead.
I can confirm that Ctrl-Q and Ctrl-Shift-Q work in FSX:SE to move your front outside view up and down when using the 2D panel. I was on the sim early this morning and confirmed those key commands. Shift Enter and Shift Backspace only work with the virtual cockpits in FSX:SE
smewby54,
Don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but after the latest Steam upgrade about a week ago, the eyepoint Ctrl-Q and Ctrl-Shift-Q now change the front outside view up and down when using the 2D panel. These function are now the same as the boxed FSX.
