Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

My MS Force Feedback 2 went kaput.
I've had my MS Force Feedback 2 for ages and enjoyed it with my Flight Sim game. A couple of nights ago I noticed the redlight indicator blinking instead of a steady red. I did some checking and found out the feedback feature is gone. It won't center automatically any longer and there is no feedback effect any longer although all the other controls (rudder, aileron, etc.) works fine. I don't think there is anything in the market that can come close to the performance of the MS FF2.

Maybe it’s just a broken power supply? Should be easy to replace.

I believe that the problem is in the microproessor. All electro/mechanical systems Icontrols and switches) still work but the signal to the x and y axis motors is not working. So other than the force feedback feature not working, the joystick is still operable. I can't find any replacement joystick that can come close to the MS FF2.

Holy smoke, that stick was a gem. I am sorry for your loss. The bad news is that you won't be able to repair or replace it with anything comparable without spending a lot of cash.

A broken power supply is a common problem with old MS FFB joysticks and wheels.
When it breaks you get the exact problem that’s described, everything works except the force feedback.
The power supply only powers the force feedback motors.
The circuit board which controls buttons etc. get its power from the USB.
A replacement power supply and you’ll get it running again.

Regnrock. You're so right. It is the powerful supply wherein I found the plug loose. Got it working as it should, whew! That stick was worth more than the joystick they use on Airbus commercial jets. Thanks.
