What is SODE?
I must have installed an Add-On that installed this SODE, but I do not know what it is for. It shows up in FSX flight screen in my menu for Add-Ons as SODE 1.3.4 > Test DLL Connection!

I installed it with a scenery addon it appears tobe a tool for testing the scenery's abillity to run animated routines defined in the addon it seems tobe doing no harm within the game at this time

SimObject Display Engine is what it stands for. And yes Ken you are correct it does not seem to be doing any harm. I think it got loaded when I recently installed some scenery but then later deleted the scenery as it was too much of an FPS hog.
If you can edit your DLL.XML file then you can control it's loading when FSX is started contact me if you need help

I think this is from Fsdreamteam, To control the Jetways if you have GSX installed...

I believe it was from FSDream Team, I was trying out the Vancouver International Airport, but I found it was too much of a hog for my system so I removed it, but I guess the SODE file was left - I have since deleted it and all is OK.
Next year I plan on chaning out my laptop for maybe the Alienware Dell laptop with NVidia GPU.

You may be right. But I think it's fro Fsdreamteam. Yes it could also be from Vancouver Int. add-on

SODE was added to GSX when FSDT released KMEM. Memphis uses SODE jetways as well as some other SODE objects.

i have the same problem just for p3d v4. did u fixed your problem? if yes PLS HELP ME
SimObjectDisplayEngine has been intergrated into GSX for airports that have the jetways animated with the SODE system. The system will only work on Airport addons programed with SODE animated jetways and if you open the gsx menu and select SODE jetway with a non SODE jetway the jetway will be removed for that flight and will become availiable the next time you load that flight. I would strongly suggest readind page 12 of the GSX_manual Animated Jetways using SODE is clearly explained.
