Under "Student Pilot", click "Lesson 1: Straight and Level Flight". Read the entire lesson, and at the very bottom, you will see a link to click that says "Fly This Lesson Now".
Rod Machado is a real flight instructor (sorry about the corny jokes), and the lessons are true to life. Do them in order, and you will know how to fly.
What I was told = "ENJOY the journey, LIVE the life." You have to crawl before you can walk but there is much fun to be had along the way :)
FSX tutorials are very helpful but there are many resources out there just waiting to be tapped.
Many pilots/educators/enthusiasts share their knowledge on the internet including some of my favorites "Gvad the pilot" and "Gary Wing" on youtube (among many others).
Cheers ;)
The book publisher provides a set of flights that you download and insert into FSX, and work through using the instruction from the book. It works very well as any time you get confused you can hit pause on the flight and read the instruction again.
Also the free Aviator 90 videos from Angle of Attack .. www.flyaoamedia.com ...have been a great help.
