Since live weather updates within FSX has has been all but discontinued you will have to resort to dlc like myself and others. The latest Ultimate Weather Solution for FSX-SE in the Steam Store seems tobe a good choice at a good price right now. our you can use the weather themes in the game for for weather control which includes wind speed and direction.

Yes it is certainly a great deal, I've had both Active Sky Next and Rex Texture Direct for years now (although I didn't buy them through Steam) and they really add a quality of dimension to the sim and are worth every cent.

I especially like dialing up a day I know the weather was poor and seeing what it was like to fly in it and of course the new textures withn Texture Direct greatly improve the clouds, sky, water runways, weather effects etc. Add to it the function of Accu-Feel (or an A2A Accu-sim plane) and all of a sudden it's a pretty scary ride at times.
