level d
Hello folks, i know this has been beat to death, but i need to know if level-d will play on steam or not. I have done everything i could do to get it up and still no plane.
my system : 6700k, 32 meg ram, 1070 gtx vid, asus z170-ar, 2 gig of SS harddrive.
im running at about 4.2 gig.
My machine is absolutely great and no problem.
I decided to with steam because of the less headaches you get with boxed versions.
just built my machine two months ago.
I have no FSX running on my new machine except the one i bought from Steam.
Im not running nothing but steam and FSX, UT2, OBRX the full package, GSX, Radar contact on network and FSC on network. also im running active sky on a network.
Everything works fine until i try to load my favorite plane the level-d 767.
Will not load period. I dont waste my time over at Level -d site. cannot get no answer other than why are you using staem.
So the bottom line is this my friends of the sim community and steam. Does The level -d work on steam or not. And with that i mean how many fixes do i have to do or loops i have to jump to get iot to work. Went Avsim and took their advice , no luck.
I have done all i can do other than putting my favorite plane of all time on the shelf.
It would appear to me that Level -D does not plan on updating there wonderful plane to newer computer standards, so i wont have a choice but to shelve level-D.
I have a fast computer and im ready to go back to simming but my favorite plane is not, what a bummer.
I have been looking at the PMDG 737 and 777, but i do not want to spend that much money and find that their planes dont fit well with steam.

Thanks folks, any feedback is welcome , even if to tell me to go jump in the lake.

Well folks im stunned to tell you I think I found the solution to anyone having a problem running Level d in steam.
Of course I might be late with the find, and I did not even find the cure, someelse did.
I went back to levelD website to go deep in the forum to find a solution. and I did.
Its not level d at all thats the problem, its w10. Their is a piece of software called ( werfault.exe} Windows problem report. When you start FSX it somehow prevents level d from strating or other issues.
I found this from a guy that found the solution from hours of trying to find a solution.
All I did was go to into start, type services.msc, and then press CTRL+shift+enter.
then go to "Windows error reporting service" then right click, go to properties and change to disable and click okay.
I restarted and im in shock.
Level d loaded up as if it never had a problem , everything works. all variants work, the winglets work. I think im dreaming.
This is one plane I have flown for years.
Oh, and I give full credit to "2late4me" in the bowels of level-d forums, under generral topics and scroll down to topic on Windows 10, there is where i found my solution to fly mt favorite bird.
So if im late on the solution sorry, if not there it is.
Thanks folks im off to flying..................RobertC
