Buying secondary touchscreen monitor for panels and controls
I’m thinking of buying two 15” touchscreen monitors and pop out some controls like the throttle and propeller levers, cowl flaps etc.. Also using Air Manager for some panels and controls. Any issue with doing this?

Why do they need to be touchscreen, unless you're going to use them for controlling?
I mean like, the PFD and ND of most aircraft aren't touch screen.

For somethings you can use Air Manager to add controls, like for the Garmin g1000 and other nav and ap devices. So you can press the buttons and turn the knobs on a pfd/mfd bezel.

Ah yes, that's understandable. It's funny how buying a screen is cheaper than buying a replica panel, haha.. Smart idea, I love it.
Another advantage is that you can change what appears on the screen, say, for different aircraft. Where as with a physical panel, it might not be as accurate to the real deal, and it cannot be changed when you change aircraft.

I ordered a touchscreen monitor from Amazon . apparently i need something called raspberry PI to turn on the touch capabilites of the monitor... Raspberry PI seems to be a tiny computer with USB and HDMI tnterfacesI..but how does that interface with FSX on my main PC?? seeing that it(RP) is it's own tiny computer.

How can Air Manager fix this...

I just use FSPanel on my 10" Android tablet. It's impressive with 5 different real time, touch-screen pages you can view, including a flight planner. I particularly find it very effective for setting my NAV's. It connects to FSX via wireless on my Win10 PC without a hitch and best of all, only cost me about $10.

Meanwhile, my Samsung tablet cost me less than $300 and I use it out of the home constantly for a variety of things - definitely some of the best $ I've ever spent.
