Lukla, Nepal VNLK
It was suggested I try flying this airport as it's one of the most dangerous. Only way out for me was an F16 with after burners on. You cannot get enough airspeed to stay airborne with any aircraft. Viewed the YouTube video and yes they do takeoff in real life but not on FSX! Mountains are beautiful and deadly.

I had it as an FS2004 scenery. I remember it was a crazy slope and you have to hit it just right when landing. I've seen videos of real aircraft at Lukla and it's amazing. I think it is one of the enhanced airports in MSFS 2020 within the three basic tiers.

The default FSX Lukla is garbage. However, I was able to take off in the Cessna C208B Grand Caravan and the Orion Maule applying one detente of flap, full throttle and RPM, and mixture leaned to approximately 40%. No problem flying through the canyon in either direction. Edit: Also a successful takeoff in the Beechcraft King Air 350 using the same settings and a little nose-up trim. The King Air has a nice climb out once you're clear of the runway.

Thanks. Have to give it another try with those settings. Are you able to get weather radar with ASN if you have that in your Sim? I have gone into config, added what was suggested and still can't get the damn radar or the panel that's supposed to pop up. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. View settings are now changed in the config but they all are in the original places when I hit the shift number keys. Saved the file before closing it. Lock on aircraft set also as suggested. Agggh
