The only payware one I'm aware of is the Wilco A380v2, and I have no idea how it stacks up to PMDG.
Until someone like Aerosoft comes out with an A380 I doubt we'll see an advanced full featured one. PMDG and Quality wings are strictly Boeing, so it's unlikely either one of those will do any Airbus.
PMDG doesn't do Airbuses anyway, so if you want an A380 get the Wilco A380 v2 until something better comes along. FWIW, Aerosoft's A318/19 and A319/20 series offer a very high level of realism and complexity, and they cost just $39 each at Flight1 Software.
I guess I might stick with Project Airbus' 380 or look into Wilco.
There's a nice multi-livery package just up at Simviation, bottom of the page, "FSX P3D v4 Airbus 380 Mult-Livery Pack"....
https://simviation.com/1/browse-Civil+Jets-55-7?mark=54230#54230
It looks to have very nice visual models with Hi Res textures, a good looking Airbus style virtual cockpit, and Rolls Royce engine sounds.
The guy that put this together (Chris Evans) is well known for putting together some of the best freeware packages to be found just about anywhere, so this might be worth grabbing.
The only downside is that it's a massive 283gb download, it will take the better part of an hour and a half to download on my speedy broadband internet connection, so this might be out reach for people with slow connections.
Just an FYI on the Project Airbus multi livery package at Simviation....
I downloaded and installed the A380-800 Multi Livery pack and it's a great package, however I had an issue with the flight dynamics, in level flight with the autopilot off (ie. manual control) the aircraft would slowly begin banking to the left without any control inputs. I know for a fact this was not a joystick calibration issue because none of my other installed aircraft, both free and payware exhibited this kind of behavior.
I found a fix for this though. With some experimentation I found that by using right Aileron trim (CTRL+ Num Pad 6) I could get it to fly level with my hand off the control stick.
It took a full 20 keypresses to compensate for whatever was causing this uncommanded bank to the left. I'm assuming that one of the Ailerons was significantly out of trim, or there is an error in either the .air file or aircraft.cfg file.
I've never encountered this before on any aircraft, either freeware or payware, but if it ever occurs on another plane I'll know how to proceed, and perhaps this information will be of use to someone else in the future.
