How to hide cursor whilst flying
Hi there,
I use my mouse to fly (i know i should get a yoke) and was wondering if i could hide the arrow whilst flying as it is annoying and gets in the way
Thanks

FSX uses the active windows mouse cursor theme, nothing is internal to FSX except its calls for different cursors from the active windows cursor theme.

For mouse look, FSX calls the "precision select cursor" which by default, is a large cross hair. I didn't like its look in my older FSX Videos on YouTube channel: All Things Flight Simulator X.

So my work around:

Downloaded a set of free transparent mouse cursors and made a new windows cursor theme. I changed only the precision select cursor to be a very small transparent dot. Its still present but way less noticeable.

Be aware, whatever we change in the active windows cursor theme affects all windows programs, so if the cursor that is used for mouse flying is the default windows mouse pointer, you may want to create and only activate a modified cursor theme for use while using FSX and switch back to your usual theme afterwards. I don't have that problem because I only changed the one cursor and its not the default pointer.

I never found a completely invisible cursor but it makes sense, cursors are there so we can see where were at and make our next move accurately.
