I have a tiny crosshair in the center of my screen, HELP
This started just today. Somehow this tiny crosshair showed up in the center of my screen. It is not veiw dependent, it is always there, it doesn't matter which aircraft I choose. I'd like to get rid of it as it serves no purpose other than to show me where the center of my current view is. Has anyone seen this. Help me find a fix to get rid of it please.

Is it red? V shaped? Or four dots?

If so it's the Axis indicator.

Right-click the desktop and turn it off.

If not we might need a better description of what you're seeing.

The only "crosshair" i'm aware of in FSX SE is the one that shows your AC's position in the top down view, but I don't see how that could appear in a cockpit view. Maybe a files integrity check is in order here...

I wish I could upload a pic that would probably help. it is a circle the size of this o with a light grey square behind it about the same size. right next to it is a vertical line of the same color, the same height as the o with a similar background. they do not adjust position as I pan the camera, or switch view modes. They do not exist if FSX is not the active window. Could it be an NVIDIA thing? Something that goes with video capture? I have notice when I open steam games there is a mic and something else in the bottom right corner for a couple seconds. When I switch from window to full screen it goes away. Back again in windowed mode.

Yeah, but the axis indicator is either a large or small "V" shape, or 4 small dots, not a "crosshair", so it doesn't seem like that's what his problem is, especially given the detailed description he just noted....

Definitely sounds like some kind of graphics card or driver related anomaly, but it's difficult to say exactly what...

Just take a screen shot and download it to your library and post a link to it so that we can see it.

That mic and 'something else' may be the X-Box overlay which MS was insisting I use when I don't want it and don't even need it.

Never needed it before so why now?
