Right-click the desktop and turn it off.
If not we might need a better description of what you're seeing.
Yeah, but the axis indicator is either a large or small "V" shape, or 4 small dots, not a "crosshair", so it doesn't seem like that's what his problem is, especially given the detailed description he just noted....
Definitely sounds like some kind of graphics card or driver related anomaly, but it's difficult to say exactly what...
The term "crosshair" was his way of describing it, not mine.....
Just take a screen shot and download it to your library and post a link to it so that we can see it.
That mic and 'something else' may be the X-Box overlay which MS was insisting I use when I don't want it and don't even need it.
Never needed it before so why now?
