Game XBox one controller throttle options suck

The only thing the Xbox one controller has is Y full throttle and the B button closes it. I find it impossible to play the game with the current settings. It needs to be on the triggers but no place to change it. I use the control because it has a return to center the keyboard and mouse don't. I am getting so sick of this. I thought at one point the xbox one controler used the trigger if you bressed it and releases it was the breaks.

The only option is to go to options and set them the way you want. I have my Y button set for up throttle and A for throttle down.

When you can afford to get a real joystick, you will notice a huge improvement in controls.

If you have access to eBay, see if you can find a "Logitech Extreme 3D Pro". It works great and has Throttle and Rudder controls.

Joysticks are nice if you have the room and don't mind the weight or having them in your lap.

I can't configure my joystick. When I pick any action to be changed or reassigned it just don't capture my gamepad actions. Any suggestions?
