It's fairly involved, it requires a good graphics program and some skill with manipulating image files.

Here's a tutorial I found on you tube that uses Adobe Photoshop...

This really isn't something the casual FSX user is going to attempt, it's usually done by people with considerable prior experience with graphics software programs.
