To get accurate weather these days, you have to rely on 3rd party add-on like those listed by Tsarcasm.
https://www.aviationweather.gov/metar
Scroll down the page a bit and put the ICAO code (KDFW for example) in the "request METAR data" box, click the "decoded" format button, then click "get data" and up to date weather for the location will be displayed.
Start FSX and set up your own weather using the "advanced weather" options in the menu, it isn't all that difficult or time consuming to do once you get the hang of it.
Nice one, I didn't realize you could do that. My only issue would be the need to manually change the weather for real-time updates in long flights.
Quite often you'll see more than one layer of clouds in an area. Visibility will be different near the ground than at altitude. You will be able to fly above the rain. You will get appropriate icing conditions when they exist. Winds aloft will be correct for the altitude you are flying.
Several times flying down a coast I've seen clouds out over the ocean where there are no weather stations, while the coast itself was clear. I once saw thunderstorms some distance away while I was flying in the clear, and got a phone call from someone who was in the area of the thunderstorms. When I asked they said they were indeed in storms. I was once flying to my home airport through rain, and just before landing the rain stopped. After the flight I asked my wife if it was raining, she said "Not yet." A few minutes later it started to rain. There can be local areas of different weather and you can see these in the distance, as with the thunderstorms.
All this is done automatically.
As you can see, there are a lot of things you can't do with manual weather. It is up to you whether these effects are worth it. For me, they definitely are.
Personally, I can't fly without real world weather. If I don't like the current weather, I can use historical weather. Static weather just doesn't work for me any more.

I do not miss stock FSX Jeppesen weather. Far too often the barometric pressure would change by a full inch, rolling your altimeter back or forward by 1000 feet. A few minutes later it would change back. This usually invoked some colorful language.
Jeppesen weather left a lot to be desired.

Just out of curiosity I tried it.
It doesn't work, not for me at least. I have SimConnect, Net Framework 3.5, and FSUIPC 4.9 all installed and working correctly, but when I run FSXWX and try to connect I get an error message that reads "SIMCONNECT: Connection Failed.
If you have any idea what might be causing this please let me know.
Well that would explain it, thanks for the heads up.
BF Bullpup if you mean FSrealWX it isnt the same as FSXWX. I updated to Active Sky almost a year ago so I cant confirm if FSXWX is still working but as long as I had it it worked flawlessly.I didnt use the new textures in step 7. http://www.plane-pics.de/fsxwx/home.htm
It would make sense that the server is no longer online due to the fact that I keep getting the "connection failed" messages.
I have all the requisite modules installed correctly and working properly so I can think of no other reason for these failure to connect errors.
*I do not mean graphics-wise, it is still the same bad graphics, I mean accuracy-wise.
