My thoughts exactly.
No question, and no argument.
Using an X-box controller, etc. is purely for child play.
Best Buy: Thrustmaster T16000M Joystick and (separate) TWCS Throttle.
I can outfly anyone using kiddies controllers.
Not a boast, just a fact.
NB Using a joystick alone is NOT sufficient.
Controllers are for X-Box and Playstation, NOT for FSX
Very true. I got along just fine with my Logitech 3D pro, but I do prefer my current Saitek X52 pro because of the seperate throttle control.
I understand, and everyone has their own needs and preferences. I have my PC and associated hardware setup on two good sized desks in my "man cave", the Saitek throttle sits just to the left of my keyboard and has rubber feet so it stays put very well. The stick I have bolted down to a small metal stool, so it occupies no desk space.
As long as you are happy with it that's all that matters.
I paid about $175 here in the US for my X52 pro, everything computer hardware wise seems pricier in europe, so I would imagine it would be well over $200 there.
