Controller not working
My controller was working with FSX perfectly yesterday, and now FSX cant even register it.
If anyone knows how to fix this, i would gladly appreciate it.

EDIT: I believe its fixed now.

Which controller are you trying to use? Is it plugged directly into your computer, or through a hub? Which version of Windows are you using? Windows has a built-in game controller tester and calibrator. If it can't see your controller, odds are FSX won't, either.

Unplug it and plug back. If that won't help, restart Steam.

^^^ That's certainly worth a try, sometimes the simplest solution is the most effective one.

Most controllers don't require a specific driver, but if one is available for you controller you might try installing it.

Only other option I can think of is to run a files integrity check and let steam re-install any files that fail validation.

Beyond that, a full "clean" re-install of FSX might be your only other option

I use it when FSX looses the pedals.

Cool.

I have never used pedals, perhaps they are a bit more fussy.

I've used basically only 3 stick and throttle combos, the Logitech 3D Pro, which has the throttle control on the stick, a Saitek X52 stick/throttle combo, and a Saitek X52 Pro combo. I've never had any problems getting either FSX SE or P3D v4 to recognize any of them, and I have never had to unplug and then plug them back in to get them to work. Perhaps I've just been lucky, getting FSX to recognize most of the more common controllers doesn't seem to be a widespread problem.

I suspect this kind of issues (loosing connection to a controller) has something to do with Steam built-in support for controller profiles. Otherwise I can't explain this, I use Thrustmaster pedals. I however never even tried to tune them via Steam.

Another thing thats weird is it happened after i installed the concorde for FSX on fly away simulation.

Test that controller using Windows (type USB game controller in the white Cortana box to find it). I don't think installing an add-on Concorde should affect your controller at all. If you have other games, test your controller for those games too. If the controller works perfectly fine for other games, try verifying the integrity of your FSX files using the Steam program to see if a file got deleted by accident.

Using an Xbox style controller for FSX is mistake number one. While it's possible to do, and by itself it may not be the source of the trouble, most experienced FSX users advise against it.
