How to make Opentrack to work with FSX???

Please I need HELP!!!
I`ve been flying in FSX (SP2) boxed version for over ten years now and I finaly menage to get myself a head tracking equipment. I`m using 3 poin clip (DelanClip) /Opentrack software ( I`ve try FreeTrack and also don`t work ) but just cant make it work with FSX! So I purchase FSX Steam edition cause I read on some forum that this version support head tracking but no luck. I have try everything but I just cant make it work! This configuration work flawlessly in IL2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad / Rise of Flight and Il2 Sturmovik 1946.
Please can somebody have any solution? I am desperate!

I have used OpenTrack with just the headtracking software with FSX-SE with no problem. I haven't used any IR hardware but I can't see getting it to work would be any more difficult.

I found you need to start OpenTrack before launching FSX.

Yes I have. Got SimConnect and FSX RTM/FSX-SP1/FSX-XPACK.
Also reinstaled FSX Steam three times. Reinstal OpenTrack several times. After every deinstalation I was cleaning my pc with CCleaner. In OpenTrack I choose Microsoft FSX SimConnect protocol and try to start it with all 6 offered protocol settings. But no luck!

Have you actually installed all of the legacy SimConnects? The 3 folders (FSX-RTM, FSX-SP1 and FSX-XPACK) each contain SimConnect.msi. You must run this file from each individual folder to install all 3 versions of the legacy SimConnect.

In OpenTrack, check that you're using the following protocols:

Input: PointTracker 1.1
Output: Microsoft FSX SimConnect
Filter: Accela

Yes, of course, I run installers from folders C/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/FSX/SDK/Core Utilities Kit/SimConnect SDK/LegacyInterfaces (all three of them) and everything is set as it should be but still no luck. I really don`t understand what is the problem. In FSX Virtual 3D cockpit is set and change of view on my joystick via 8-way hat switch works ok.
I`m not a beginner in this kind of problems but this situation is puzzling me.
I have also reinstall drivers for my camera couple of times.

Now I`m gonna reinstall everything for the fourth time, clean my pc of any registry leftovers and I`ll get back to you tomorrow with result. Thx for help and suggestions.

Opentrack definitely works with FSX:SE. If you continue to have problems with it you could try FaceTrackNoIR - http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm. It's very similar to Opentrack, is still actively being updated and should work with your Delan Clip. I would avoid Freetrack as it's old software which hasn't been updated for several years.

I did reinstall everything again but no luck. It just does not work on my pc and I give up. Gonna stick with IL-2 Sturmovik: BoS. Pity for throwing money on steam edition for nothing.

There is something that you are doing or not doing that is causing things to not work.

I encourage you to don't give up, by elimination and problem solving, you will get there. I know OpenTrack and FSX-SE work together, many on here either use them or, in my case, have used them together successfully. Persistance will pay off.

What webcam are you using?

PlayStation 3 Eye Camera with newest drivers. It came in box with DelanClip. This combination works flawlessly in other sims.

Try downloading this profile:

You'll need to copy it into your OpenTrack profile folder (mine's in Documents) then run OpenTrack and select the FSX_clip.ini profile before starting FSX. If it works, you should calibrate your Delan clip by going to the PointTracker settings, Model, Clip and "Start calibration".
