Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Those FeelTHere Airbuses.
Anyone tried these? I see reviews are mostly negative but I really only want a decent 330. These or Blackbox :)

You could pay $30 to $50 for one of these payware packages, or you could just download one of the excellent freeware versions by Chris Evans at Simviation like this one....

Top of the page, Delta Airlines package, complete with VC and sounds. There are several other liveries available as well.

While it may not have all the "bells and whistles" of a $50 payware package, you might be surprised at the level of quality that's available in freeware these days.

The problem is that I couldn't find any SAS livery for A333 for ruthts airbus. Rikoo offered only one option without a VC. I just want something that works out of the box.

Thing is. The Wilco 333 is only 19$ so it is acceptable. But, I have no clue if these includes any kind of liveries.

Also as usual, DTG is lacking when it comes to information. I would like to know what difference there is to these packages compared to this.

You could try this freeware package and see if the livery will work with the Simviation freeware I linked above.

Aparently this has an SAS 330 livery included..

You could spend money looking for one livery if you want to, but if you're willing to look around you can probably save yourself $20.

Good luck

I tried it but couldn't get the VC to work. No idea why.

I did buy one package for 19$ containing the 330 and SAS, yeah sure it will not be Aerosoft level but now it seems we will never get their 330 anyway :(. (with we I mean FSX not P3D).

Still, have to say that the freeware on FSX is far more impresseive than the XP11 one so far. Except for Zibo I have not been that impressed (yet).

You say DTG is lacking in information, but just what information are you expecting from DTG. They have not released any airliners for FSW or FSX:SE, that I'm aware of.

These are sold on the main page so one would guess that they were in control of that. I wanted to know what liveries were included. None it seems but you could download them from Wilcos own homepage. Links would have been appreciated.

Yes. DTG could improve their general support here. FSX might not be the latest and greatest but still has 1 million users according to steam spy so they have all the motivation they need there.
gspectre Mar 8, 2018 @ 10:53pm
Motivation to do what? They are already focusing on their own Flight Sim (FSW). You make it seem like DTG is responsible for being the support line for all 3rd party add-ons for FSX or FSX:SE.

Have you tried contacting the actual developers to see if you get better responses.

My point is. if you by a 3rd party cup holder for your car, do you expect the cars manufacture to help you when you have a problem with the cup holder or the people that made the cup holder.

DTG only acquired the rights to get FSX to Steam, they are not even the developers of FSX.

This is where you are wrong, I don't expect everyone to know how business works but heere is some ABC. This is the sales point for these Products. It's no different if you do normal retail, you typically represent hundreds of companies and Products. First line support should ALWAYS be done by the retailer. You only elevate to others if you have complex issues. This is how it typically works. Now, we are talking about sales here. Of course you expect the business selling the Product to do the pre-sales questions, maybe not where you live but where I do business, it would mean bankruptcy if you didn't care about that :).

So yes. If DTG sells something here on their page. Then normal consumer rules apply. You should and would perform basic support and sales questions. If you are serious that is :).

You can ask yourself, if DTG didn't care, why would they sell these Products here? You have to understand that FSX has 1 million users here. FSW has a few thousand last time I checked. Of course this pulls in money for them. This and the Train Sim are the main money makers for DTG if you by the numbers here.

Some hard numbers. FSX had 80.000 active users last 2 weeks. FSW had 5000. Now let's emulate that you were in business. What audience would you care most about?

So, you think DTG should put more focus on an 11 year old Sim as well as other developers work then their own Flight sim. Just wondering, just how many people do you think they have working in the Flight Sim department?

I'm not sure if this is the way you approached this, but I would install the Delta package from Siviation that I linked above FIRST, then just use the texture folder for the SAS A330 from the Flyaway package I linked, they are both Tom Ruth models so it should work, I know the Delta package by Chris Evans works fine and has the VC because I have it installed in my FSX, but you will need to edit the aircraft.cfg file to include the SAS A330 texture, I'm assuming you know how to do that, but in any case it's very simple to do.

They should focus on what makes money. The numbers are the answer :).

Obviously their biggest user base is FSX and the Train Sim (over 2 million there).

I tried that but I used the Rikoo as a base (they contain tons of liveries). Obviously I made something wrong. Btw. I do appreaciate the help.

Is there any 330 package (payware) that anyone can recommend? Black Box seems like the only viable choice. Wilco was so so :).
