I will guess the Free one is just a Demonstration version or limited version of the full version.

After some searching the demo contains the Olympic peninsula only.

don't buy a certain region.. get FTX global. Does mesh/terrain bitmap for the entire world. deffo worth the 70 bucks.

The free pacific northwest version is of Olympic peninsula. Quite a generous amount of coverage and when added to the free light configurator and orbx libraries is a great deal as it adds 3d lights to your sim. There is also a free airport addon to go with the demo region. Perfect for a scenic hop in a slower smaller plane

Orbx Iceland freeware gives you the the full country and a few custom airports also quite nice as always.

regions are the very best in immersion if you liek low and slow.
for lierpilots the global stuff is more worthy.
but to get a good flightsimming experience, its going to cost you, whatever sim you use.

The Pacific Northwest demo only includes a very small area and only has springtime textures. The full package is much larger and has everything. There is one freeware airport you can download for the demo area.

I flew for a couple of hours to test it, then went back to a long flight I was making elsewhere. Some textures were messed up, especially around airports. I uninstalled everything Orbx but it didn't help the texture problem. In the end I had to completely uninstall and reinstall Prepar3D to fix the texture problem.

I didn't mention the loading times for my standard scenarios: 15 seconds pre-Orbx, a full minute after installing Orbx.

I'm going to guess if you get the full FTX texture package you won't have texture problems elsewhere.
