Boarding ramps
How do I activate the boarding ramps? It seems that when computer controlled aircraft pull up to the terminal the ramp automatically extends, but not to my aircraft.

If you mean the Jetways that extend up to the aircraft then try Ctrl + J

There might still be a problem but, at this moment, I have forgotten what that was.

I will be back in a moment if I find that answer.

Meanwhile have you got one of these to refer to?:

I printed it off double-sided years ago and keep in a small folder for reference.
In all my hours of enjoying FSX I've yet have a jetway automatically extend to my aircraft even after adding GSX.

Me neither...

[Installed a couple more boxed MS FSX thanks to you, young Kenneth.]

Yeah, I don't think it ever happens automatically for user aircraft (requires you do Ctrl-J) and I just wanted to add that you also have to be positioned correctly which doesn't always happen when dropped at a gate either. I have had to move forward or shift-P (push-back) a little to get Ctrl-J to work in some cases. Also some Jetways at some add-on airports just aren't actually working Jetways, depends on the maker.

Right enough JJ. The nose wheel has to be on, or just behind, the yellow line.
When I was doing some airport designing I discovered the importance of parking spot placements etc.
