Have you calibrated it through Control Panel...Devices and Printers? Do that first and then assign buttons and other controls in game and it should work perfectly.
For my Hotas 4, the calibration wizard from Devices and Printer didn't work. The wizard did not go through all the axes or buttons, and the joystick did not move the target correctly. The in-game settings would not recognize the throttle lever and some of the buttons. After installing the Hotas 4 drivers, the wizard looked completely different and depicted all axes and buttons.
I actually already downoaded the new driver and installed it, checked the reponses of the stick in the settings->controls, and even flew the plane using it (in-flight start). Everything worked in flight, but there's something wrong with the takeoff. Do I need is to "step on it" ?(didn't work) Aren't there any brakes to release?
I'll try calibrating. It might also be the motherboard problem, since it's an 8 years old comp.
Break as in lunch break.
Brake as in brakes, hand brake and stopping.
ABS = Automatic Braking System.
