Don't they have a free download for X-Plane 11? I thought I saw one. I think it give just about 5 minutes each time yuo use it. As for the release date, I think I read that it is due out 11/28/16, so I look forward to any review.

Interesting. Thank you for highlighting the point about switching from fsx to p3d and that if you own pmdg you need to buy them again. And for also pointing out there is less scenery addons for p3d than fsx again allot of people forget to mention that.

Think I will stick with good old fsx SE never had a problem with that since day of release

thanks for the comments, as with everything its all about opinioon, not everyone ikes the same thing, i think aerofly is amazing but its still in early access and lacks a lot of what the other sims already have but its getting there and im amazed by the graphics, flightgear is free so for those who cant afford a payware sim its an amazing achievement to make this available for free, xplane was our number 1 because not only does it perform better with modern pcs as its 64 bit, its helicopter model is great and it models VRS, the scenery available for free it just top quality and it also has the payware support. FSX and P3D are great for addons and aircraft but they cant perform as well on modern pcs with lots of RAM and GPU power becasue they are both 32bit which has limitations on memory usage even if you have 64gb it wont make use of it all and they dont support GPU acceleration and rely heavily on CPU usage

You can d/l the X-Plane 11 Beta right now. Do a search.:-) But you'll need the X-Plane 10 CD for the key to get it to work.

Tell me what would happen with the licence if someone switched from P3D to FSX?

It won't work as the licenses are different from each other in the way there coded and programmed it would just pop a message up saying this license is already in use on another computer/ not valid in this version etc etc

I do still have my X-Plane 10 CD #1 but I'll need to wait until Dec 1st before I can download any large files. :(

I got xplane 10 through steam so no beta access for me.

Seems really bad TBH as what's difference getting 10 through steam or direct end day you still get the exact same sim pretty poor TBH and one reasons I won't get 11 as there is no loyalty to excistig customers. Seems those of us who got it through steam don't really matter to the developers

When did you get X-10 through Steam? I got my CD Version about 5 years ago but I don't expect them to allow me. Like any other Sim, just because you bought the prior verson does not mean you will get every verson after that free. It has nothing to do with loyalty.

If you got X-10 recently, then the code you have will work for the new release. I think that's a great deal.

Sure, why not? If you should get X-11 free for buying x-10 about a year ago, why not me, since I got mine about 5 years ago. There's going to be a cut off period and the offer only started a few weeks ago.

Besides, you did get ver 5.1 free, didn't you?
