Is the game worth getting?
The game looks nice and I'd like to have it though I may be only to get the vanilla game, is it worth it on its own without the dlc? I have other games to get this xmas so I can't pourr all my money on this game and the DLC scares me, I have seen dlc overloads like in EU4 but this is insane.

The short answer? Yes, it's worth getting, even without the dlc. Once you do get it be sure to have a look at the Learning Center; by itself it's worth the purchase price.

Happy Flying!

gotcha how is multiplayer? ik weird question but im just curious

Multiplayer is fine, but the built-in comms are terrible; Teamspeak and Discord are better voice comms options. Most of my flight time--at least 5000 hours of it--has been spent in multiplayer.

How are you planning on controling the Aircraft. Do you have a Joystick (prefered) or are you going to use only the Mouse/Keyboard combo. Those seem to be the most common, and a select few actually get Yokes/Peddals.

You dont even need dlc, seriously, just go to simviation.com and flyawaysimualtion.com. Trust me some of the freeware there is better than the overpriced ♥♥♥♥ on the steam store.

Indeed, we can help you find some good addons for free. And if your interested check out fspilotshop or simmarket for payware addons(search on sale section) if you dont find what your looking for on steam dlc.

Wow, and this wonderful review from someone that's only tried it for 12.3 hours. You must really now everything about it.

For something new is Flight Sim, you should check out "Take Off", it just showed up in steam and I think it's more your style and it's NEW.

Now, for some real facts.
Yes, FSX is about 11 years old (not 50), and for it's age, it is still worth it. The best part is, if there is ANYTHING about it that you would like to improve, there's almost an unlimited anount of Freeware as wellas payway (away from Steam).

The best part is, there are just as many Simmers more than willing to actually help you with unlimited amount of topics, both here and away from Steam. For that kind of free support, you could never put a price on.

BUT, if you are interested in helping out with an Early Access title, while still being able to fly, there is Flight Sim World, and it to comes with the same support from Simmers as you would get with FSX.

Well I have tried xp11 and have P3d v 4 ...... and I still use FSX as my main sim. A lot of that has to do with great add-ons to be honest.
