Xbox one controller setup help
When in big picture mode how do I setup the controller? I mean like which config should I import or use for this game so that all buttons work.

Can someone help with setting up the controls in the game itself as well. I liked how the controls were set for planes in gta5.

I know this is a serious flight simulator so I don't know whether I could setup similar to gta5 for the gamepad?

The in game controls are confusing me. Because therd are all these trim settings.

It would be nice to control the roll on the right stick and the nose up down on the left stick.

I'm not so familiar with the aileron, elevator, rudder, and how the control translate to the yaw or axis. If someone has a nice xbox controller setup they could list I'd appreciate it a lot.

Because I'm new to this game I've asked a few things about it in the forums today. So sorry I'm annoying people so much. Please understand I'm unfamiliar to everything with this game.

Thanks guys.

I use the xbox 1. Here's my settings.

Right Axis = Aileron, Elevator
Left Axis = Rudder
View = Top Hat

Off hand I don't remember the button numbers so I'll just explain them.

Throttle Increase = Top right button on front of control. (set to repeat)
Throttle Decrease = Top left button on front of control. (set to repeat)
Flaps Deploy Incremently = Bottom right button on front of control.
Flaps Retract = Bottom left button on front of control.

There are 4 buttons on the top of the control on the right.

Arrow on top button pointing up = Elevator Up trim.(set to repeat)
Button with an X = Elevator Down trim.(Set to repeat)
Button with a square = Rudder left trim.(Set to repeat)
Button with a circle = Rudder right trim.(Set to repeat)

That's about it.
If your aircraft noses up all the time even after you've reduced throttle, push the X button.
If your aircraft drifts to the left, push the Square button.

Go to the Obtions\Controls and increase the deadzone. You'll need it for the xbox 1
Also reduce the sensitivity so you don't make harsh turns or dives.

Hope that helps. :)

I understand the Y axis is up and down and the X axis is left and right on both left and right analog sticks.

Ok I'm guessing now. This is what I think it is. Which is why i might need correcting.

Elevators are on the main Left and Right Wing? Plane goes up or down direction? = Nose up / tail down, so Y (Yaw) axis up / down but on left analog or right analog stick?

Rudder on the back wing? Plane goes in left or right direction? = Turn left / turn right, so again this must be for X axis but on left analog or right analog stick?

Ailerons (are on the back small wing). Don't know what these do? Does this control roll?

But i'm guessing in game when it mentions Yaw, it means up and down.

So should rudder be set on left X axis left analog stick or right analog stick x axis left and right?

So should roll be set on left X axis left analog stick or right analog stick x axis left and right?

The buttons you talked about. They are Y X A B.

I don't know how to set repeat. Is this done in game control menu?

Another thing what profile do you use through steam for the xbox controller please?

If i'm wrong can you explain me please. Thanks
