QualityWIngs 757 gauge problem
Purchased from fspilotshop, downloaded and installed the installer included in the folder named "FSX and P3D Update Only (there are 2 FSX installers, this one is for FSX:SE), ran installer as administrator and followed the installation help guide through the entire installation. When I loaded up my FSX the product activation prompt that the installation guide should appear when you install the product for the first time doesn't appear, only promts to run the addon/livery managers and FSUIPC (if I'm not mistaken) aircraft model works fine and the only problem the cockpit has is the gauges won't appear (PFD screens) it shows "ERR! Startup Error: !!" and "Unable to start QW 757-4", is there any fix for this? The only other thread on the forums concerning problems with the QW757 here says to completely reinstall the product using another installer from the QW website, and that will take too long

Note: QW did say not to expect problems in FSX:SE only in some versions of P3D

edit: I'm running version 1.3

I'm asking is there another fix instead of that option, like a "safe" route
Whilst waiting for an answer, why not just " completely reinstall the product using another installer from the QW website"...
Download the latest add-on manager from FSDT site, it asks you if you want to update QW 757 Gauges, say yes and away you go

Would I need to remove the current addon manager? I do get the message to trust the addon manager during the initial splash screen startup.
Do you get the update message when you download the addon manager or when you install it?

Tried that, got the message but still no addon manager page on the top-down menu and the problem persists
Having the same issues and then manually installed the stand alone Add On Manager (which wont connect to the internet to download additional files). After installation FSX now crashes as soon as you click 'ok' after selecting any plane in the QualityWings package and have established its directly linked to the Add On Manager (stops happening when you uninstall it).

Started searching and found that the Virtuali Add On Manager is causing chaos for many FSX users...
My install went as advertised but my panel showes the same missing display...Here's where it gets interesting. NORTON anti-virus detects a Trojan.Gen.SMH.2 within the bglmanx.dll in the main Steam FSX folder and promptly deletes it. After another reinstall of QW757 with the NORTON disabled, the panel displays properly until NORTON is allowed to go to work and tadah...it deletes the bglmanx.dll again. Their exists another bglmanx.dll in my old install of presteam FSX and NORTON doesn't even blink at it. Me thinks the version 3 installer is coruppted from QualityWings.

Try configuring your Norton to exclude the bglmanx.dll file from being scanned, did that to my Windows Defender but still no fix.
Seems that the problem lies in the addon manager, QW757-4 is an error code and it requires the addon manager for the plane to work. However when I install the addon manager it then asks me if I want to install the new QW757 gauges, then it says an error in installing the simconnect files then says a fatal error occured. The setup finishes though but still no addon manager
Chaylella, you are to smart for your own good...thank you...I was close to overcoming my panel issue in regards to the bglmanx.dll, but with your suggestion, I successfully excluded that file from NORTON'S persistant focus and inevitable banishment. All is now right with the world, The Flight Sim world at least. Thank you again.
Having same issue, and I reinstalle directly from QW website. Any help would be appreciated, as that's one of my favorite aircraft to fly, or at least was before this came up.
Reinstall addon manager, that's what the QW 757-4 message means
I can't find the addon manager for some reason, in my computer or on flightsim.com
Download manually from the FSDT website for the addon manager. It's the Virtuali Addon Manager
Alright, i found it, thanks for the help!
