try to delete your fsx.cfg, fsx will re-create it next time it is run
the fsx.cfg file is located here:
C:\Users\<Your computer name here>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

Try using the Nvidia Control Panel(not GeForce Experience) and look for the fsx .exe in the "Specific Program" tab under 3D options. In the menu below that should be an option to choose "Graphics Adapter", select the option and use "Use High Performance Nividia GPU". That should fix the issuse. Sorry if the names aren't exactly the same but that should help you in this situation and future ones like it. :)

Ghost, thats normal. You probaly have a laptop with 2 gpu's. One on your CPU and one for high performance graphics.

Your Intel is the main. Always. When you start FSX it will switch to the proper GPU. But the name will be the same. You can check in the NVidia Control Panel to set the game to High Performance NVidia GPU.

But trust me. It's not gonna fix your FPS. FSX is still CPU hungry. It all comes down to CPU not GPU. I had a laptop running a Intel 4000 and a ATI Radeon 5100 or something. Switching to the High Performance GPU actually made things worse :)
