Report a translation problem
One of those menu options has Simulation Rate. You can increase it all the way to 64x. The way to tell if you are in some form of Time compression is it will appear in the upper right of your screen in bold red if you select any time compression other than Normal.
I think it's probably not a compression problem. I saw this tweak on the payware forums where I bought my custom scenery. I'm only suggesting it here, I haven't tried it myself, so caution is called for.

You can "tweak" the fsx.cfg file.

LOD_RADIUS=4.500000
4.5 is the default maximum. It can be increased by 0.5 up to 9.0 or so.
The notes also say you need to reapply this every time you change any graphics settings in FSX.
