FSX goes black screen

Hi
When I use FSX Steam, and for example tries to change aircraft, the game goes into black screen, with only the mouse icon vissible. The same thing happens whenever I try to end the game, change settings etc. in the game.

I have Win 10

Any suggestions?

Looks like you're playing in full screen mode, which does not work very well if you change views.
You should turn to windowed mode before switching menus.
Press Alt+Return for that.

I have exact the same problem with Windows 10 - 64 Bit. I have changed to other screen mode. It makes no difference. It seems the software goes not work, when I change to "Dateien" ,they work on 32 Bit base!????

I don't know exactly what you mean, but FSX is a 32 bits application and will work only in 32 bits.
Did you untick the DX10 preview mode ?
Video drivers are up to date ?
What kind of hardware do you have ?

Got it!! It was as simple as pressing Alt+Return. I´m not use to work with Windows :)

Yes, my Windows 10 has 64 Bit and my hardware too. Is that the reason, why my screen goes black, the moment I want to change the airplane or exit the game? M1Ullrich

Hello, I'm using windows 10, 64 bit, and I had the EVGA GTX 970 and after flying the PMDG 777 for about 6 hours, my screen goes black. I hit ctrl+alt+enter and the screen goes back to normal. I thought it was the card, so I just installed EVGA GTX 980 TI SC 6GB and its still doing the same thing. I can fly the PMDG 737NGX for 6 hours plus, and this doesnt happen.

I got the same problem but when i press alt+return it turns into windowed mode but the simulator still stays black. This is happening when i connect a new monitor to run things like chaseplane and vpilot. But i've done a few flights and when the PC detects the dispay the screen turns black. Also sometimes when i swtich the ground flickers gray.
