Strange, as according to the panel.cfg file, this gauge is part of the Cessna.dll , located in the gauges folder of your FSX SE installation.
Cessna.dll is 2367 Kb on my rig.
Any chance it got damaged on yours ?
Any modification right there, or in the panel.cfg file of the Cessna 172 ?
2. Open the Local Files tab and click on 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' to run the utility.
NB When you have just installed FSX you should run this utility anyway as the installation is very rarely 100% complete.
If you do a re-install the same proviso applies.
Just in case: https://dovetailgames.kayako.com/knowledgebase/article/View/78/0/how-do-i-reinstall-microsoft-flight-simulator-x-steam-edition
If you do re-install at any stage you have to follow these instructions to the letter otherwise FSX just won't work 100% correctly.
If you ever have a start-up problem just clear the Download cache and take note of the advice given by Steam when you do.
With a correct installation - and verification - of FSX this shouldn't be necessary.
It often applies to any add-ons you may want to install.
The problem with this sim is that many gauges rely on third-party modules that contain program code. Basically if you won't accept them as trusted, they won't work. On the other hand you need to be sure that what you're accepting is part of the addon you have installed and not some malware.
Perfect. :-)
You are sometimes given a choice of loading once only, to try things out, or fully trusting the file when it will always load automatically in future.
