Add-ons purchased, appear in DLC as "Not Installed"
Hey

Today I purchased three add-on aircraft; a Spitfire, an ME-109, and a Ju-87. The purchases completed, I got receipts, all appeared fine. However, the aircraft did not appear in FSX:SE, so I checked my DLC on Steam, and it shows them as purchased but not installed.

When I purchased them, something ran automatically and it looked like it downloaded something, but I cannot find any new files on my disk, especially anything related to aircraft SIMOBJECTS. There is absolutely NOTHING on the Steam site that would allow me to re-download these files, and there is nothing in the FAQs or anywhere else on this type of issue.

Anyone else run into this? Any ideas ?

Thanks

Mark

In your Steam DLC library, do these addons have their install box ticked ?

Check "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\FSX\DLC" there should be one folder per DLC there.

WWA3463: Yes, they all have their "install" box checked

Kabacus: The only folder in there is for the Virtavia A6E I bought back in Jamuary.

Good questions, though. I appreciate the help.

Other than restarting the Steam client in admin mode, unchecking and rechecking the install tick box, don't see other solution, maybe contacting Steam.

I think I did that, but I didn't shut Steam down in between unchecking and checking. I'll give that a try. I did, however, submit a question on the Steam support page. Crickets so far....

Must confess that I am not going to buy any more scenery from STEAM because of this issue. Bought Friday Harbour then Meigs and both downloaded fine on to my computer. When I bought a new computer, Meigs did not download automatically with Steam although Friday H' did. Bought a new laptop and neither downloaded. Have tried all I can think of. In future will wait till they come out as standalone scenery files and install as other scenery packages - far more reliable. At thev moment have basically paid for nothing. The same situation does not happen with Train Simulator. All my addons downloaded for that OK. It is just FSX that seems to have an issue.
