FSX:SE Freezes and Crashes 5 sec. into game!!!
It was working normally a few days ago, and now when I load up into the game, I chose the plane i want to fly, and change the weather and other things, then i click Fly Now, and it loads up. It gets into the game, I see my virtual cockpit, and the 5 seconds later it freezes, then after a bit more it says "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working...". I need help with this!

No addons were installed before it stopped working.
I have already tried re-installing it.
I have already deleted the FSX.cfg, so that i can regenerate a new one.

mikeytwc compiled an excellent list of things to do that sort most problems: http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/0/494631967659076467/?ctp=2#c494632338492049060

If you feel the need for a complete re-install the FULL uninstall process can be found here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/480344-how-do-i-uninstall-fsx-steam-version/

I had this crash for over a month and it drove me crazy. I read an article where another person was having issues with DX10 games crashing on windows 7, so I followed the instructions on uninstalling the Windows Evil Update that was causing the problem.

Google the windows evil update and make sure it's removed from your computer. Restart and enjoy fsx.

If you continue to use internet explorer, keep an eye out for that update somehow reinstalling itself. You'll know when you get another crash. I use Google Chrome and completely uninstalled explorer.
