If it's crashing at the point of loading the Moving map DLC, uninstall it, start a fresh game, let it run for a while making sure FSX is running ok, shut down properly then reinstall the DLC and see if that worked.
Another thought on your problem, you may have a corrupted saved game file. Delete the offending saved game and restart the sim.
Hope that helps.
How about we get back to subject .... the one that can help daveyg back on track with FSX-SE.
LOL You'll have to forgive our friend Pegasus, who used to be known as Icarus around here until he crashed and burned... He often gets sidetracked on these deeply philosophical, but often bizarre tangents which seem to make no sense at all because, well, they don't.
Thanks Nightmare 1964. Tried that and FSX does not open. Task Manager indicated 'Not Responding'. I'm wondering, if I uninstall FSX SE from the drop down on Steam will I be able to subsequently install it from the same menu? Something is obviously corrupted somewhere but I have no idea how to locate the problem.
So, thanks for your help, although it might have been easier for all if you had stayed on topic - I still am unable to make head or tail of any of your 'wisdoms'. Still, I am airborne again and your pointer towards the correct uninstall procedure was invaluable.
My thanks are also extended to nightmare 64 for his input.
Valhalla is not eternal warring but the Great Hall of Asgard where half of the warriors who died in battle, selected by Odin, were housed and 'entertained'. Not eternal warring but an eternal party. The half not selected for Valhalla were guests of Freyja.
Althought the Greek and Romans had different names for their gods many of them fulfilled the same roles. At least some of hese gods were assimilated into Anglo Saxon culture as well before christianity came along and spoiled it all.
The Egyptians at the time of the phaorohs had many gods - too many to list and far too many for me to remember but Isis, Ra, Nun, Nut and Osiris are in my head.
Did the cheshire cat disappear? At least its grin remained surely.
As for the vanished - we could do with many more vanishers - there are far too many humans on this planet - and at least half of 'em are bonkers. Which camp are you in?
