Aircraft initialization failure. Aircreation582SL red
I am getting this error: "Aircraft initialization failure. Aircreation582SL red" on start-up, and I don't know how to fix it. I have verified the files 4x already, and still getting the same error.

Have you tried Googling the "Aircraft Initialization Failure" message? If you do you will find that it is because the default flight will not load; either because you've changed it or deleted the trike.

I have, and did'nt find anything helpful. All my files were correct. Nothing was missing or deleted.

And figured it out, had to delete "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files" and "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX""

Yes, really... I saw the same thing, but deleting the fsx file seemed kind of drastic. At that point you might as well just do a whole reinstall. I was just checking if anyone had any other solutions, BECAUSE there wasnt much online about this issue since 09. Good lord.

You're welcome.

A re-install doesn't replace existing configuration files, meaning if there is an issue in the configuration files a straight Steam re-install typically will not resolve.

This thread has a number of troubleshooting tips/hints and the locations of the configuration folders/files that are created when FSX-SE is first run *after* the very first install.

Essentually renaming FSX-SE's configuration folders/files will allow FSX-SE to create new and fresh files and by renaming the originals you have a backup that can be used to help track down the issue via processes of elimination.

e.g. add item 1, does it make a difference? - no, then add item 2, does it make a difference ? - no then add item 3 etc. until you reach the point wher the prob occurs, then take it back a notch to confirm.
