Real time weather

When I down load real time weather it is not correct. Example. It snowed here at my home airfield. When I down loaded the weather befor emy flight it said 50 degree's outside. It was 32 degree's and snow showers. What gives? This has never been the isue before. Weather always downloaded correctly. I re formated my hard drive then reinstalled all my programs and now this is happening with FSX.

As far as I know real World weather hasn't worked since february.

ASN (Active Sky Next), REX Texture Direct with Soft Clouds and PrecipitFX will give your sim real world (and historical ) weather that looks great.

Throw in a copy of A2A's Accu-Feel and FSX will be as real as it gets weatherwise.

If I can get the weather to update every 15 mins I may down load an add on for weather.

I haven't tried it for FSX, but I tried FSrealWX for my FS9 a few weeks ago and it worked great. I imagine you can get similar results in FSX. For my FSX I use Sky Force 4 but I used ASN for years with great results as well. The in-sim real-world weather will never be fixed as the Jeppesen server used by default FSX no longer gets updated, and Microsoft and DTG do not have the personnel or interest to fix it. Keep in mind FSX was last updated in 2007.

FSrealWX is free so the price is right. Payware wise, Active Sky 2016 is on sale atm so probably your best option

Active Sky Next is very good, I started using FSXWX, but in my opinion it's well worth the small expenditure to get Active Sky.

Not that I've noticed, but it must to a certain extent. After all, weather programs convert a still air environment to a moving one, along with the graphic implications

FsRealWX here no perfomance hit at all.Really lightweight on CPU also(As we know FSX is a CPU dependant game)

Minimal. The sim already has a weather engine anyway. Those add-ons just convert real-world weather into digital instructions. The sim follows those instructions to create the appropriate environment with what weather textures the sim already has. The worst hit I have seen is probably from Sky Force 3D when the sim hangs for 1/4 of a second to load the weather. Nothing too jarring.
