FSX-Steam Download Location- Help

When I started to download the default location was the Steam Folder (E:). Not knowing better I installed it there. I have a shortcut on the desktop. FSX runs and I started to set the FSX settings but I cannot find any of the files or folders on my computer. I cannot find FSX in my Undelete app. I can only find Steam. Did I install it in the wrong location? I would like to eventually add other planes and Megascenery . I don't want to go any further until I find the proper place to install it (if I can find the files and remove it). Thx Joe S

The FSX-SE files location will depend on the Steam Library folders location.

For example I have two Steam library folders configured with E being the default as it's an SSD raid drive (very fast).

D:\Games\Steam
E:\Games\Steam

So whichever path is configured as the default would be where games are placed.
Meaning for myself FSX-SE is placed into E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\

And the runtimes (DX9/C++ etc.) are located in D:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist

As the above was the initial path where Steam was installed.

If you found the Steam folder, then underneath it should be the standard set of folders Steam creates (i.e., Steamapps) - inside that should be the common folder then inside that should be FSX. That's most of your files. Some are also stashed in your Local Account Directory in the hidden AppData folder.

Should be in Local disk/programme files x 86/steam/Microsoft flight simulator. and scroll down. you will find it.
