Have you tried landing in an airport in which you HAVE NOT downloaded a mod?
Take the trike lite and try Friday Harbor. i.e. the stock free-flight.
See if it still hiccups as you cross the wire.
Why not try to find a generic airport enhancement like REX HD Airports?

ye that's right, fix a bit of stuttering in FSX by spending $300 on a new GPU and $200 on a new simulator. Maybe he should pick up a flight sim leyboard too? That'll help I'm sure...
