Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Why Can't I get my traffic 2013 to work with fsx steam?
Hello, my name is Ron Kolesar and I am blind.
When I down loaded and installed my traffic version 2013 for FSX SE, I didn’t see any instructions for installation nor a manual.
I must have installed My Traffic 2013 for FSX SE incorrectly, because I’ve not notice any additional AI traffic while I’m flying.
I have the following two audio programs from flight 1.
Third Party Aircraft Sound Installer version1.2 and also the Third Party GA sound utility version 1.2 as well.
Could I please receive step by step instructions on how to install and or to fix my traffic 2013 for fsx se please?
I am running windows 10 latest version and fsx-se.
I can be reached at
kolesar16417@roadrunner.com
That's if anyone can help me out.
I even asked if there were going to be a upgrade if and or when my traffic 2013 could be able to work with fsx steam.
Now, here's what I received from aerosoft about my traffic 2013 and fsx steam
Now, I just received the following from aerosoft.
Dear Mr. Kolesar,

this addon is currently not FSX:Steam Edition compatible.
As you can see on the productpage it is for FSX SP2 and FSX Acceleration.
Our shop states in bold red letters that addons which do not explicitly mention FSX:Steam on their productpage are not compaible with this simulator.
This is mostly because these have been developed prior to the release of FSX:Steam Edition.
Adding backwards compability for over 300 addons we sell is very hard and even though we do our best to add it for as many addons as possible this one is not among them (yet).

We can only give some general advice here, but offering full support is not possible since this addon is officially not compatible and has not been tested in FSX:Steam.

Aircraft should in general work. If your installer does not find FSX:Steam you can point it to the simulator manually with the browse button.
Navigate it to the folder, where your FSX.exe is in. By default that is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FSX.

Airports will most likely work, too, except for AES (including AES Lite which handels vehicles, etc.).
It might be necessary to add it manually to your simulators scenery library since Dovetail changed the path where the scenery.cfg is located.
Go into the FSX Settings, then click on the scenery library. Click "Add Area" and navigate to the folder where your airport is installed.
Usually that is in [FSX Mainfolder]\Aerosoft.
Once you added the airport it will most likely show and run fine.

Unfortunatly this is all help we can give you.
If you need further assistance with this please open a topic in our support forums where other users may be able to help you.
You can find our forums here: http://forum.aerosoft.com/

I will now close this ticket.
Kind regards, Tom Weigandt

Well...like Tom said, it's incompatible with FSX Steam.
By the way, not trying to be a smartass but just out of curiousity: how do blind people enjoy FSX?
