I prefer ASN over FSXrealWX, but its manual is there:
http://wiki.fsrealwx.net/doku.php?id=en:overview
Come back with more specific questions if you still struggle.
Do you have another or may be free alternative?
One more I have not tried myself: https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/1778261771156043565/
They ALL work. You need to read the manuals. Post with specific questions if you are not able to get something working.
Concerning the link discussion you sent, it sounds to me, that is not only me who suffers from downloading real weather..!!
So what do you think, is "Steam,Microsoft, or even Jeppesen gonna to work to solve this problem in near future? or real weather gonna to work again even if it is not so real on FSX or I should purchase a weather application?
I need your advice .
Sorry for long speech..!!
If you said that I was downloading "Cashed Weather" So why now FSX SE stop downloading "Cashed Weather" I've been flying FSX many years ago and never had this problem before..
So why now?
The good news about that is that FSX's built-in weather eats up available RAM (called VAS) for FSX and also a bit of computing power. Using separate weather add-ons will free up a little bit of RAM, so your actual weather and flying will actually be smoother than using the built-in weather.
I went to {LINK REMOVED}"https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/841214/known-issues-with-the-real-world-weather-feature-in-flight-simulator"
and they mentioned this (Check your Internet connection
To check your connection to the Internet and to the Real-World Weather servers, follow these steps:
Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Visit the following Microsoft Web site:
{LINK REMOVED}http://fs2k.zone.com
If you can connect to the Web site and view the Web site content, the weather servers are operational)
Does this site work in your country? {LINK REMOVED}(http://fs2k.zone.com)
because it doesn't work here in Iraq, Basra..!
FSX is a 32 bit program so with 64-bit Windows you can not use more than 4 GB of RAM for any application. The RAM available for FSX gets converted to VAS (virtual address space). It is wy if people fly for too long and use too much scenery or add-ons, FSX can run out of memory and crash to desktop. It is not that important for your question, though. :-)
so I afraid in somehow when I purchase an app it won't work as long as {LINK REMOVED}fs2k.zone.com is not working..!!!
if you're using Active Sky you don't need to do anything in FSX to connect to weather. Active Sky will download the weather information and 'inject' it into the sim. Set the weather in FSX to 'clear sky' then just run Active Sky and let it do its thing.
